It’s time to WOL-Out!

“so let your heart, sweetheart, be your compass…”

You know that saying:  Out with the old, in with the new?  Well, it’s time for us to do just that!  Yep, for us, 2014 will be a year full of new adventures and many welcomed uncertainties inspired by our “we only live once” attitude, or as we’ve coined it, WOLOtude.

Don’t get us wrong, WOLOtude has always been an integral part of our lives.  Our WOLOtude has helped us laugh and live through frozen pipes, a flooded basement, and even the occasional apartment fire that leaves you with nothing but the clothes on your back (true story, mate).

Our WOLOtude has also led us on plenty of epic adventures.  We have traveled to Kaua’i twice, explored multiple US National Parks, camped out in dusty cornfields at music festivals, completed two 10-milers, and snorkeled in the coves of St. John, USVI.  We’ve also coached a U10 girls soccer team, obtained Master’s degrees in our respective fields, and raised a Golden Retriever puppy (shutout to Lassen Oaks!).

WOLOtude is an everyday reminder that “we only live once” and when you only have one chance at life, you’ve got to be true to yourself.  For approximately six years, we’ve managed to make the most of our WOLOtude and our WOLOtude has made the most of us!  This year is no exception and now we are packing up our belongings, taking a hiatus from our careers, and raising our WOLOtude bar!  The WOLOmeter is set for New Zealand and in February we will officially WOL-Out of town – hopefully, you can join us for the ride!

Song lyrics: Lady Antebellum “Compass”

– Go. Change your state of mind.
